Rock Island 268 leads a U28B/GP40/GP7/GP38-2 lashup near the Silvis Shop less than a month before shutdown.
This on is ex-Rock Island. Most of the RI units have the nose slope that is a definite U-28.
TTI has a real roundhouse, an old L&N classic.

There were only 2 U28-Bs on the CR roster, numbers 2822 & 2823. The 2822 is leading an intermodal train at Rochester.
A Westbound D&H train departs Hornell. This train has 7 units and there are none that are alike.
One year before shutdown this Eastbound freight approaches the EJ&E crossing toward its final destination of Blue Island IL.
