A Western Maryland freight makes an early departure out of Cumberland and thunders Westbound through the Narrows towards Frostburg on a blistery cold morning.

Shortly after sunrise, NS 67N drags up Christiansburg Mountain with a empty ethanol train in tow as it enters a tight S curve situated in Shawsville, VA on a dreary December 16th, 2012 morning.

The two narrow gauge monsters 99 7238 and 99 7239 are resting in the Wernigerode shed after another long day out on the Harz system.

Here, we see W&W 58 fighting the grade into Wooddale, Delaware. This cut is basically a tunnel without a roof and is a very tight fit. Hopefully they don't have to butter up the train.
