The FWWR sure has some pretty locomotives.
Parked for the night.
All is quiet in the DGNO yard (except for the owls hooting).
Loaded grain train (left) and manifest (right) wait for their turn to head south. This would have made a nice night shot, but both trains were gone before dark.
End of the line ... these trolleys used to roam the streets of McAlester and Tulsa. They are now falling apart in front of "Trolleys" restaurant.
The conductor steps down to line the switch from 8 rail to the siding, leaving a ghost like trail.
There is no doubt about this locomotive's heritage.
I caught this "Snoot" in the darkest part of the yard.
No front coupler ...
It was pretty windy and low level clouds were racing off to the southeast.
A "pig train" waits for a fresh crew to take it east. It will meet the Sulphur Springs Dodger in Copeville.
