An eastbound BNSF freight is about to duck under Hwy. 14 and into one of the tunnels in the Cooks area. I enjoyed this vantage point while waiting for SP 4449.

BNSF 4379 is the DPU on a westbound freight seen here about to enter one of the tunnels just west of the town of Lyle in the Columbia River Gorge.

As seen from high above on the Oregon side of the Columbia River, a BNSF freight speeds east bound for Pasco, passing the Oregon Trunk bridge just west of Wishram.

BNSF 782 West leads a set of grain loads across the fill at Horsethief Lake, just west of Wishram, most likely bound for Pacific export.

BNSF 7421 leads grain loads around the famous curve at Home Valley bound for export at some Pacific Ocean port.

BNSF 755 leads an empty grain train back to the heartland as scene at Avery along the mighty Columbia River with Mt. Hood in the background.
