Eastbound coal loads for Northern States Power passing Westminster Tower.
Four U30Cs power this eastbound joint BN-MILW coal loads Colstrip, MT to Portage, WI. Eight MILW U30Cs were built for this joint coal train operation.
UP brought the coal loads to New Brighton, the power in the left distance, WC power has coupled on and is ready to take the the train east to Wisconsin. WC 6614 was retired February 2006.
No "Flags" and no "Wings" UP 8002 departs South St Paul with westbound coal empties. Renumbered UP 3472 6/19/2012. Acquired by NS through EMD, and will be renumbered into the NS system as NS 7232.
