Running about 15 hours late westbound VIA #1 is bathed in the late evening sun as it passes Ardrossan. This sort of late running seems to be the norm rather than the exception these days.

Running about 9 hours late eastbound VIA #2 clears Tofield having stood for about an hour for no apparent reason. Good for railfans, get to see it in the daylight.
