commuter train ready for departure

For the 2009 steam parade a great number of steam trains were running in the surroundings of Wolsztyn. Ty2-953 with a special train from Stefanowo back to Wolsztyn.

Six coaches behind this OL49. The fields near Strykowo were nicely coloured.

The Wolsztyn railway yard is full with active steam trains for the steam parade othat will be held the 2nd of May.

This OL49 leaves the railway yard for the passenger train it is to take to Poznan.

Adamowo near Wolsztyn is always a nice spot to take pictures of the last running passenger steam trains in Europe.

Famous railroad crossing at Gozdzin. The train comes along picking up speed after its stop at Gozdzin station.

Rare sighting of this narrow gauge steam locomotive. The track Gniezno to Witkowo is dead now. Just for special occasions the steam locs are being heated.

Near Molkwerum the track reaches the IJsselmeerdijk, offering a high viewpoint. Here you can see where the Netherlands got its name from: it's low and flat.
