Southern Pacific low-nose GP9 3709, seen here at Los Angeles' Taylor Yard, was delivered as engine number 5873. The date is May 14, 1982. The 3709 was never upgraded, as many of SP's GP9s were. To see this unit in its post-SP days, click HERE.
