Before Metrolink, commuter trains operated for a short time into Los Angeles from Ventura County. Seen here is one of the trains, with Amtrak power and leased Chicago RTA cars, headed to LA as it crosses rocky Santa Susanna Pass and drops into the San Fernando Valley.
