| Remarks: United Aircraft and DOT joined the Penn Central in operating the Turbotrain between Boston and New York.
It was a success with the passengers, but did fit with conventional trains in operations. It was really just an experiment. It was probably the best equipment the PC ever operated.

Not a single example survives, yet it was, and still is as of 2007, America's fastest train ever produced and put into regular service. (Yes, it achieved a higher speed in test runs then even the Acela).
Great catch, Donald! Tis the first time I've even seen this livery with the Penn Central Noodle!

Glad to hear that they worked good on the PC, as they were nothing short of junk with CN/VIA service in Canada, unfortunately.
