| Remarks: This locomotive was involved in a collision 12/17/2007 between the towns of Derby and Mulvane Kansas. The unit was leading the Red Rock coal train when it collided with a UP local, taking impacts from several cars. The crew apparently survived. It's in the early stages of repair at CEECO. I'd say this one is going to require MANY stages of repair. |

There was a collision between the towns of Derby, KS and Mulvane, KS? I hope the towns weren't injured too badly! (Sorry, I couldn't resist...)
But, seriously ... This graphically illustrates that the wide-nose safety cabs are pretty effective, as there is actually very little damage to the crew area. |

Unreal, that this isn't going back to Erie, PA for rebuilding.... Amazing more so, that the crew survived! |
