Remarks & Notes |
The New Haven and Penn Central always used matched sets of motive power for switching several freight terminals on the old New Haven. These 3 ALCO CC units were the most memorable yard engines in Providence during the Penn Central era. Search for locomotive 6812 or ALCO RSD 15s for more Railpicture photographs. Local railfans called these units high hood alligators. Unfortunately photos of number 6810 are not scan worthy.
