Evening choice of entertainment in Pittsburgh in the early 1960s was rather limited, a few movies and a few strip theaters, so one makes one’s own. It’s almost 11 PM, Gimbel’s is closed but still a few pedestrians are out and about. Perhaps the “Follies” had just let out.
Pittsburgh no longer has commuter trains and Johnstown no longer has trolleys, but light rail remains strong in Pittsburgh. Mr. Rogers would be pleased.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
