Remarks: Westbound BNSF mixed freight train framed by the wooden overpass at Home Valley, Washington. The overpass connects state highway 14 with a campground along the Columbia River. Originally built as a one-lane road bridge, the structure is now used only for pedestrian traffic. Its aging timbers contrast sharply with the welded rail of the tracks below.

Should have been a Screener's Choice & could easily be a POTW. Not so much for the quality the rail subject, but for pure artistic merit in setting this up. Just my $0.02 & A PCA from me.

I agree with Bob, this is a really nice shot. You'd almost expect it to be in New England somewhere.

Beautiful photo, Scott. I love the composition.

Scott, Fantastic Image! It came out phenomenal! This shot really depicts Autumn in the PNW. While I tried many similar images up there with you, yours is the winner hands down. You have my vote for PCA!

Fantastic composition finding!

Hmm, pretty diesel...wait, what am I saying! Look what you've made me do, Scott! Well done. Did the artist in you position any of the leaves, 'cause Lord knows I woulda tried to dress the set ;)

Wow Scott, I totally regret not going up there with you guys. Great composition, and was great to meet you. PCA'd for sure.

Scott I must agree with the others on this one you have a beautiful shot here. PCA from me this is a great work!

Love the composition! Congrats on the POTW!

Thanks to all for the kind words, but I must say, seeing the words "pretty" and "diesel" side-by-side in a post from Mr. Lynch is the most surprising! Regarding the leaves, they appear in the photo just as gravity and the wind had left them (but their location certainly influenced my composition).

So great and nice autumn photo. Warm greetings from Belarus.

Scott: Great use of the subdivision name (Fall Bridge), and I'll echo the wonderful composition compliment.

Love it, love it, love it. I can't decide if the color of the trees sets the engine colors off or visa versa. Either way the whole picture is amazing.

Scott, Congrats on the PCA! It was well deserved! Can't wait to see what you put up next!
