Remarks & Notes |
Female passenger boarding a JR Hokkaido local passenger train at Ginzan Station on the Hakodate Line on Christmas Eve 2006. The two-car KiHa 150 DMU is running from Rankoshi to Otaru, a coastal suburb of Sapporo. The inland Hakodate Line was once the main route from Sapporo to the south, but all through traffic now uses the water-level Muroran Line. Today only local trains and the Niseko Ski Express run over the steep grades on this portion of the Hakodate Line. Click here for a view of this train approaching the station. |
