Western Maryland locomotives were literally "lounging" all over the Maryland Junction Engine Facility on Memorial Day, 1975. F7A 241 represents the second order of F7s for the WM. Altogether, sixteen units (231-242) were delivered in December 1952 and Janaury 1953; twelve were A units and four were B units. The B units would be renumbered to the 400 series in 1955 and in this photo we see F7B 404 coupled behind the 241. Please see photo 308165 for more information about this day. |
