| An elderly ARR boxcar wears the classic mineral brown paint and historic McKinley Park logo while the Chugach Mountains beyond do their best to mimic their far more famous cousin far to the north. This car is a 1943 vintage former troop sleeper (note the rivets still outlining the old window frames) converted to a boxcar in the late 1940s. Long since having lost its friction bearing trucks and been bumped from revenue service, it still rides the rails serving as a tool car for the ARR's MofW forces. |
