| An ICE-1 trainset enters the Hamburg Hbf main station on track nine. Tracks 8 and 7 were used for moves of extra equipment. The Hamburg station is laid out on a curve as are many other stations in Europe that I visited. Hamburg Hbf is also a diverging station. When one stands on the balcony at the other end, you can easily see that the set of six tracks diverges to the right while the four tracks diverge to the opposite direction. |
