With a departure at 7:02 h, this is one of the best-occupied SBB trains between Zurich and Bern. Therefore, it consists of a nine-car double-deck composition IC2000, reinforced with a 4-car Mark IV module and a second locomotive Re 460, in order to keep the journey time. After the change of direction in Bern, the train runs through the valley of the Aare to Thun and through the Lötschberg base tunnel to Brig in the Valais. Leading is Re 460 024 "Zugkraft Aargau", pushing in the rear Re 460 076.
