Lifting RRL 22-01, while ex SAR / Transnet Freight Rail Class 35, now RRL 35-07 awaits its turn for lifting. On this day, three newly refurbished RRL Grindrod Diesel Locomotives were being readied for their journey to Ncala - Mozambique by sea. In the slings is Ex Kiwi Rail DQ6382, now RRL 22-01, being craned onto Transnet's Floating Crane "Indlovu Durban". The vessel collecting them for their journey to Mozambique was not equipped with a suitable crane for loading, hence the use of the floating crane. RRL Grindrod completed the refurbishment of the two Kiwi Rail locos pretty quickly, as they only arrived in South Africa mid July 2013.
