At last light, Southern Pacific Daylight GS-4 4-8-4 4449 and her 13-car train speed through California's verdant San Joaquin Valley as the train approaches Fresno, where it will lay-over for the night before heading to Los Angeles the next day. This train was heading to New Orleans for the 1984 World's Fair, and was dubbed the World's Fair Daylight. (Borden, California – May 12, 1984)
