| The westbound California Zephyr waits on the Clay Siding (above) for a train ahead to clear the Plain Siding about 3 miles further upslope. Below, a loaded coal train with 6 midtrain helpers awaits clearance into Denver. The Ski Train is canceled on this day because of the prior snowfalls ... not sure if this is what caused the delays in this picture. |
