| The original VIA Rocky Mountaineer has just passed the westbound Canadian at Stephen and is headed east for its next stop at Lake Louise. You can barely see the Canadian's rear dome above the second and third coaches. The pleasantly warm colors and defused lighting are the result smoke drifting far north from the Yellowstone forest fires that year. You used to be able to drive to this location on the south side of Summit Lake, but now the road is closed and it is a short hike in. But a great morning and late afternoon location. |
