Penn Central, NJDOT and Conrail E8As sit at the South Amboy engine house. Amazingly, all three of these old bulldogs survive. PC 4326 had been NYC 4083 (was the last E8A painted in PC black), and would later be rebuilt by Conrail. It is now awaiting restoration at URHS of NJ Museum. NJDOT 4251 had been NYC 4084, was rebuilt by ICG and is now at the Tennessee Central RR Museum. CR 4022 had been Erie 833 as is now restored to being Erie 833 with the New York & Greenwood Lake RR.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
