This E8 is currently undergoing major work here at Monticello's shops. The entire left side (our right) is currently open, and the body shows signs of major rust damage. This engine is of PRR heritage, but, in something akin to a full-scale modeling project, will be detailed and painted to match an Illinois Central unit of this type.
A collection of engines, cabooses, cars, etc., great and small that are past their prime, but represent a spirit of railroading that will never pass away!!
