| An old shot at the open day at Horwich Works in 1980, not long before it was closed. People were permitted to climb all over 25 188 which was provided for display. This class of loco was commonplace in the area at the time and it was no big deal for this to be there. There was a dearth of interesting locos on display. It was interesting to see inside the big workshops though. Sadly this loco, along with the vast majority of her sisters, went for scrap several years ago. |
