Remarks & Notes |
The "Pride of Palmer" GP38 rests after working White River Junction all morning. White River Junction in its hey day near the end of the 19th Century hosted five railroads and dozens of trains daily. The turntable presumably belonged to the Central Vermont, but is not in service, or even reached by tracks. There is a roundhouse off to the right ... it's a tire store, but at least the structure is preserved. |
