This antique pedestrian bridge at the former Edgar Station dates back to the Pennsylvania Railroad days and was abandoned by NJ Transit in mid 2007. Its ends were clipped, the stairwells removed, and the former entrances sealed off with decorative fence. Only a few hours after this photo was taken, the bridge was removed completely, making this the last time this bridge saw the light of day and making this photo one for the history books. If you look closely behind the fence in the lower right corner, you can see an old concrete stairwell, one of the very few remains of the old PRR Edgar station.
