70004 William Shakespeare at Willesden Shed. When new this loco was used on the "Golden Arrow" train, the four fixing bolts below the name were used to fix the Arrow on the smoke deflectors 70014 also had these fixings. 70004 was built at Crewe in March 1951 and withdrawn when Carlisle shed closed to steam in December 1967 she was scrapped at Inverkeithing in April 1968. |
