On a perfect Wyoming day almost 32 years ago, a 'Fast Forty Sandwich' leads an eastbound manifest near Dale. The engineer gives us a hearty wave as the train roars upgrade. The UP had 47 of these elegant locomotives, and 14 are preserved. #6926 didn't make this list. From a Kodachrome 25 slide.
