Remarks & Notes

The Settle & Carlisle line has arguably some of Britain's most spectacular scenery so the eastern approaches tend to get overlooked. Just one other photographer and I got this nice curve to ourselves. Sepia tones seem to suit the 'Scotch Arthur' well and emphasise the mood of a rather sombre sky as 'Sir Lamiel' approaches Hellifield at Bell Busk.
