Remarks & Notes
RJC 2008 charges eastbound loaded sand train at the Highway 12 crossing in Mulberry. This was the inaugural run of this locomotive which was imported from China in late 2007/early 2008. There are many opinions of this locomotive floating around the railfan world but one fact remains: this is big steam in revenue freight service in 2008 at mainline speed. This brings all the same sights, sounds and smells of steam to a younger generation who may otherwise never get the opportunity to see a massive machine like this at work.
