Summer In The Lakes Region - Summer is a wonderful time to be in the Lakes Region of central Maine. From water sports on the lakes, endless hiking and camping in the Kennebec Highlands and even a little railfanning on Pam Am's District 1, there is plenty to do. That's what this photographer and his father Tim Franz found on the afternoon of June 7, as westbound Pan Am WASE storms past Hammond Lumber Co. in Belgrade, Maine.
