| Remarks & Notes |
| A dozen or so locals have turned out to witness the impressive sight of BR-built 'Clun Castle'. She is passing the West Riding mining village of Lofthouse on the northbound leg of a Kings Cross to Newcastle railtour. You will note there is neither a steel fence to prevent access to the lines, nor any 'hi-viz' jackets to protect the small crowd from the dashing iron horse. All present managed to avoid any injury, probably because there were no compensation lawyers to consult! |
