Remarks & Notes
The 80 car empty QAP gravel train is rolling north in downtown Anchorage at MP 115.1 on the ARR's Alaska Division mainline. This bucolic scene is right in the heart of downtown where the railroad crosses the salmon laden Ship Creek. In just about 100 yards the train will leave the mainline and pull up on the gravel lead to tie down for the night and to await its 0800 call on Monday morning.

Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
