Remarks & Notes
The "Namekagon 400" was the name of the special charter train operated between Superior and Spooner, Wisconsin for the C&NW Historical Society's 2001 convention. The power was two Algoma Central Fs - 1755 and 1756. Here's the train on the evening of May 18th, shortly after arriving in South Itasca for the excursion, which ran on the 19th. The 1756 is now owned by the West Coast Railway Association of Squamish, BC, and has been restored to its original livery as Canadian Pacific 1404.
