| Union Pacific business train with # 949 (EMD E9) on the point are heading westbound out of Phoenix Arizona at MP 8308 (Montezuma?) on an inspection run of the Welton cut off. The line departs the Yuma Sub at Welton AZ and makes it way northward to Phoenix. It rejoins the main line again at Picarcho AZ. The line had been dormant since the Amtrak derailment on October 9th, 1995, in which injured 77 people and killed one Amtrak employee. The saboteurs were never apprehended.
