The Tilden job and the Hill job both are at East Eagle Mills; the Tilden has just returned from Tilden mine with loads, while the Hill job pumps air for the descent into Marquette to drop their train for the Dock job to dump. The LS&I was a class act; photography releases were openly available at the HQ in Marquette or the yard office in Eagle Mills for systemwide use, including in the yard offices (but not inside the shop), and employees always had a good word and positive attitudes. Together with superb weather in the summer, upper michigan was the place to be for a GE fan. Too bad the Alcos had to go, though....
