CWCY 1747 sits in the nearly empty yard at Hickory, NC. CWCY 1747 is the lesser photographed of two locomotives that the Caldwell County Railroad operates, over two years ago 1747 caught on fire and 1811 had to be brought up to where it was to finish the work for the day. After that they started using the 1811 for most of their work (before that 1811 was rarely if ever used). To my understanding 1747 is ready to go if they ever need to use her. Recently she was vandalized as well and is now missing a number board, if my memory serves me correctly a few other pieces of her were taken, such as the horn and headlights but it looks like those have been replaced.
