Canadian National Switcher #7470 runs light through a yard in rural Ontario on a frigid winter night in 1950. Well actually, she's stationary and this is North Conway, New Hampshire in 2009. The frigid winter night part was most definitely real, however. It was about 12 degrees when this photo was taken, with a 15-25 knot northwest wind. I don't want to know what the windchill factor was. Flashbulb lighting courtesy of Lerro Productions.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
