| Union Pacific's Los Angeles to Global 1 stack train crosses over from main #2 to main #1 at Orange Street, just west of Salt Lake City. Trailing UP 7625 is GECX 2010, General Electric's 'Evolution Hybrid' locomotive followed by Engineering Developmental Laboratory car GECX 90. The duo were returning from an exhibition at Los Angeles Union Terminal touting 2010's ability to recycle thermal energy as stored power in on-board batteries. |
