| I had scouted this shot three days earlier on this trip to BC, but overcast skies prevented a successful execution until late in my last morning north of the border. Yet another empty coal train works southward out of Golden along the Columbia River with the first lush greens of spring showing in the wetlands and the snow-capped Beaverfoot Range framing the scene. I do wish I had a shot of the conductor's puzzled expression as he looked over at me perched on the roof of my Jeep with a tripod intertwined amongst the radio antennae. |
