| VIA 95 comes to a stop so the engineer can grab a couple of hot goat rotis from Ranee's for the trip to Niagara Falls. Actually there was a manual protect order on the Kerr Street crossing and it's the "Second Engineer" that's hopped out to do the job. In the foreground the concrete footing with a few cables poking out of the ground is all that remains of the neat old cantilever signals that used to be here (see http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=217243). In the background are the new signals installed to accommodate the new third main. |
