A cool and very blustery day heralded the glorious return of 'Duchess of Sutherland' to the northbound Settle and Carlisle route. Sure, it could have been sunnier, but the muted colours lend a certain melancholy to the thundering stride of the magnificent 61 year old Pacific. She is hammering past Langcliffe, just north of Settle towards Stainforth tunnel, just out of view round the curve.
