A stack train crosses the swollen Red River between Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN. The level of the river at the time was 32.85 feet and continuing to decrease from the preliminary all-time record high of 40.82 feet recorded nearly three weeks earlier. At the height of the flooding, water reached the very bottom of the bridge. However, fortunately for the 60 or so trains that use the bridge every day, it remained passable the entire time.
