| 686 heads west past the location known as Cobb, a little over 8 miles out of Terre Haute. This train and counterpart Q687, Avon-North Platte and vice versa, have been running with DPUs for the past month or so. They started out running 2 units up front and 1 unit on the rear in DPU mode. Now they're down to 1 unit on each end. UP 5278 has the DPU honors today. |
