Remarks & Notes |
Amtrak's Northeast Regional Direct service to Newport News heads over the Chesapeake & Ohio Viaduct, aka the James River Viaduct. Built in 1901, it is nearly 3 miles long and is made up of two sections, the Rivanna Sub Trestle and the Peninsula Sub Trestle (pictured here). The P42DC was delivered by Erie about July of 2001. |
