Remarks & Notes
The DMU Arrives! After years in production, the ARR's newest piece of passenger equipment arrives in Anchorage for the first time. A vintage GP40-2 tows one flat car and the ARR 751, the brand new double decked, glass topped "Diesel Multiple Unit" built by the now defunct Colorado Railcar Manufacturing. This view looks north as the train passes the south leg of the wye leading to the Anchorage Airport branch and approaches the equilateral switch at the end of double track at CP1107. Note: photographed from public property.
