| Scenes like this were common in small communities all along 425's Tunkhannock to Jim Thorpe run. Local residents either knew ahead of time, saw a crowd of railfans gathering, or simply heard 425's deafening exhaust and screaming CNJ 3-chime whistle and ran to the nearest crossing to see what steam is all about. Here, 425 puts on quite a show storming upgrade through downtown White Haven while the engineer gives everyone a big wave. |
