The second act of the daily show of UP vs Sherman is about to begin. The livestock train [my notes show CLS, but unsure if it is this or CSLAZ - they changed symbols along about this time] is throttling up and about to throw itself at the mercy of the hill, as another westbound is lined in on P1 and a loaded coal is blowing for the crossing at CP511. I've had my dinner of Taco John's in the employee parking lot on the north side of the depot, and have ventured out early to see what's going to transpire ahead of the main event; the arrival, adding of power, and quick departure of the daily SUPRV. The sights and sounds of the inbound Supervan in full run eight dynamics, the choreographed movements of adding 2 units, and the takeoff out of Cheyenne was, at that time, the greatest show on Sherman.
